5. Reduce the amount of fat or oil in their food, especially the salad dressing.

6. Water is the healthiest drink you can have. Avoid fruit juices and take a low carbohydrate fruit to cut down the calories. So, it is better to choose water over soft drinks.

7. Exercising regularly helps in burning out calories and helps in losing weight without starving your body and slowing your metabolism.

Avoid starchy foods
Stay away from starchy foods like potatoes as they have lot of calories. Instead, consume peas and other legumes such as kidney beans and chickpeas which are rich in fiber and vitamins.
